A prayer shawl is a shawl, wrap, or scarf made and used as a blessing, or spiritual support.

Inspired by  the Jewish Tallit, Jesus himself would likely have worn one as it is symbolic of being “wrapped” in prayer and entering sacred space

Now they are knitted in our parish for

  • people who are ill or dying

  • the bereaved

  • new mothers

  • those facing surgery

  • elderly people

  • people with anxiety or loneliness

  • someone going through crisis or transition

You can order one with someone in mind (choosing colours that are meaningful for them)

Or you can join some of parishoners as they knit them and pray for the person who they are thinking of.
